Brought to you by the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association
Here’s a fun activity to unleash the artist in you. This is for kids and the kid in all of us while you’re staying safe at home. Gather your flock and take a virtual tour of the #SullivanCatskillsDoveTrail. It’s super easy and fun for everyone.
You can design your own Dove or copy your favorite bird. Be creative. Have the whole family join in on the fun! When finished, send your Dove design to sbg@scva.net. One submission per person. Everyone wins a fun prize for participating.
#SullivanCatskillsDoveTrail
Take your design and make a 3D version of your Dove. Use clay, paper mâché, make a cake or whatever materials you want to your Dove sculpture a reality. Once complete, submit a picture of your dove with your original design to sbg@scva.net and use the #SullivanCatskillsDoveTrail and post your picture on Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram. We will select the top 5 most creative sculptures. Winners will receive a special gift.
Created in 2019 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original 1969 Woodstock festival, the trail features 50 dove sculptures located in all 16 towns and villages and at over two dozen attractions and local tourism businesses. Each dove was hand painted by a local artist, inspired by the color palette of the 1960s and famous artist, Peter Max.
